5 Tips To Kill Bed Mites

Bed Mites Don't ever underestimate Bed Mites (more popularly known as "dust mites"). Getting rid of them is important since they can pose a threat to you and your family's health.

They're extremely small creatures and can be found in any home. These critters produce waste that can endanger your health. Once exposed to these airborne waste particles that they emit, there's a strong chance

Tip No. 1: Encase the Bed Spring and Mattress

You should encase the bed spring and mattress to reduce the presence of these bed bugs in your bedroom. Bed encasements are designed to give people suffering from the allergy a good night's sleep. Bear in mind that bed encasings should only be washed once a year.

But if you're one of the lucky few who have bed springs made from pure wool then you don't need to encase the bed spring. Pure wool is resistant to dust mite and molds as well as a natural fire retardant.

Tip No. 2: Put Tape over the Zippers

You should also put tape over the zipper segments to prevent dust mites from entering the mattress or bed spring. You could also try putting plastic bed sheets. But this will need more frequent washings and the chance of dust mites penetrating the bed and bed spring increases.

Tip No. 3: Spray Eucalyptus Oil Once a Week

To reduce dust mites in your bed sheets, you can try spraying eucalyptus oil at least once a week. The mist spray is made by mixing a cup of vodka to ten drops of essential eucalyptus oil. You should spray on and around the bed. Eucalyptus has chemical properties that can kill dust mites on contact.

Another way to reduce dust mites from bed sheets is to wash them on a weekly basis. You can add a capful of laundry detergent to four drops of essential eucalyptus oil at 130 degrees Fahrenheit in the wash cycle.

Tip No. 4: Expose Beddings to Heat

The population of dust mites can also be reduced by heating from the sun or a dryer.

Tip No. 5: Use an Air Filter

Another way to reduce Bed Mites is to use an air filter. Get an air filter that can catch the Bed Mites as well as the dust created.

Remember that you have to start eliminating the pests in the bedroom since you spend almost a third of your life in the

So itchy..?
I believe my room is infested with something... I am always so itchy! It is really ruining my face, I can't stand it anymore. When others come into my room they become itchy too. My grandma thinks it may be bed mites. I saw a VERY tiny bug on my monitor once, about the size of a period. When I itch I don't feel any bugs, so I have no clue. Does anyone have a clue as to what it could be, and how I can stop the itchyness? Thanks. Oh ya, I've already tried anti-itch cream, didn't help.
